SPCP LanSchool Awarding

Ascent Network Solutions, Inc., the exclusive LanSchool distributor in the Philippines, in coordination with LanSchool Technologies, LLC (USA), awarded a LanSchool Classroom Software sponsorship license to one of its partners, Saint Paul College Pasig on March 26, 2010 at the school’s campus. The said license was presented by Ascent’s Human Resources Manager, Maricris Tan, and received by the school’s directress, Sister Teresita Baricaua.

Using LanSchool will help enhance SPCP’s administrative and instructional efficiency and overall learning environment and, thereby, bring about a qualitative shift in its students’ learning process. Along with these goals, the awarding of the LanSchool software also aims to promote the Philippines as an emerging hub for Information Technology and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)-enhanced education. The use of technological tools and resources like LanSchool supports the National Framework for ICTs in Basic Education and is aligned with the vision of the Department of Education (DepEd): “an ICT-supported system of quality basic education for all” and “the appropriate, effective, and sustainable use of ICTs to broaden access to and improve the quality and efficiency of basic education service deliver.”
